if you put petrol in deasel engine what happens and rough cost of draining the petrol out?

Most garages have the facility to extract fuels from the tank without removal of the tank which usually involves a cost of approx one hours labour est 20-50 pounds + the cost of a new fuel filter est 20 pounds , then fill up filter with fresh diesel and also refill the tank. This should be sufficient to cure your problem
