laguna 2.2 diesel?

if i block the exhaust with hand for a few seconds when engine is ticking over the engine stops running ........restarts no bother. is this normal or is there a problem with the engine?

.thanks pete.ive done the same thing to petrol engined cars and it never happend to them......thats why i was worried.

no problem ,if you block the exhaust the engine can,t breath
so it stops, it proves the exhaust system is sound
