LDV Transmission Knocking?

My LDV 400 has suddenly developed a knocking noise which gets louder as the speed increases. Any idea as to what may be wrong?

Hi,without seeing or hearing it i would say the axle,probably chipped a tooth off the crown wheel and pinion.
