New battery needed in TomTom 300?

The inbuilt battery in my TomTom 300 will not take a charge anymore.
I have to programme an address with the car engine running because as soon as I switch the power off the address I have just typed in will dissapear!
How do I replace the battery in the TomTom.
I am no electrical genius.
Thanks.

Google Battery Mill website who supply batteries for everything that needs one. Specify the make and model of your GPS and buy on-line. They will supply specific screwdrivers for the job. I have just replaced the battery in my TomTom 510. Total cost including shipping was £17. Fiddly job but do-able. And it's up-and-running again.

you will need a special security tool. Hex allen key with hole in centre available at most good motor accessory shops. unscrew screws and carefully prise the two halves apart (thumbnail) battery is in full view unclip plastic connector and pull battery from the double sided tape and stick new battery in it's place and refit back and screw together.
