19 hp craftsmen riding lawn mower?

My riding lawn mower starts and runs great. But when I release the clutch pedal, the engine will die. The kill switch under the seat would not work, so we wired the two wires together. Can you tell me why the engine would die when I release the pedal, even though nothing else is engaged? are there other kill switches and where?

You have a kill switch by the bootom of steering colum under the hood that is causing this .....had same problem with my Craftsman
