Chances are your MoBo is dead - apparently quite common with these PCs - happened to my Mums and a friend

Reseating your RAM won't reset anything.

If you're daring, just open the case and wiggle every connector you see.

If that fails, you'd probably be best off getting a professional to look at it for you. Computers can be incredibly complicated (but I guess that's obvious).

Technically-minded tips:
If your computer beeps once when you turn it on, check your monitor and connections.

If it beeps continuously, reset the RAM.

If it beeps a couple of times, reseat all the ribbon cables, and reset your video card if you have one.

If it doesn't beep at all, look at the capacitors on your motherboard (they look like little cans attached to the main board of your computer). If the tops are bulging, or if little bits of orange stuff is coming out of them, you're going to have to replace your motherboard. You should call Emachines about that one - believe it or not, they can probably fix it more cheaply than a local computer shop.

I don't how advance you are with computers but your should try to unplug the computer and take the ram out of there slots and then put it back in after a couple of seconds. That should reset it
