how to change the belts on bissell proheat carpet cleaner?

i am haveing a hard time changeing the belts on my carpet cleaner

hi emma,

you need to release the brush roll. There are two very small red plastic latches, one screw in each to be removed.
You can then easily remove the brush roll.
Thread on the main belt (larger belt) over the large red pulley on the pump shaft and leave loose in place. Now the toothed belt must now be put on, this has to be tensioned with your hand and can be a bit tricky to fit but bear with it.
The toothed belt runs on the small diameter pulley at the end
of the pump shaft. Tricky to get onto the pulley, a flat screwdriver might help to place the belt but be careful not to damage the belt. Finally fit the main belt over the motor shaft
and refit the red brush roll latches back in place.
Turn the motor shaft by hand to make sure everything runs freely but don't knock the belt off the end of the motor shaft
