how can I fix the pull cord on my Briggs Stratton classic 35 lawn mower mot?

Pull cord has frayed badly and has now jammed

it depends where its frayed u can jus cut some of it off if its near one of the ends but this will require u to remove the casing that covers it, or jus replace with a new bit of cord
