The switch for the vacuum is not operating. Atempts were made to get at the interior of the machine by removing all visual screws. The front section has a screw or ?, preventing removal of the top section. Any ideas?

We have a different Samsung model but had the same problem opening the case. We discovered that the plastic pieces on the top rear snapped off exposing the screw. We released the parts by poking with screwdrivers and gentle force. There were several snaps involved. Our problem was a bad connection inside which was easily repaired.
