how can i remove a trojahorse stubby c?

i have norton and AVG virus checkers on my computer and neither of them are fixing these trojanhorse stubby c viruses i have two of them i had a computer man out to have a look an he couldnt fix them he looked on the interent to see what they were and what damage they did and he then got back to me and said that they were something to do with pop ups and wouldnt do much damage to my computer can i believe what he is telling me? he did say one of the trojans was inbedded in a file dont no if this makes any difference can anyone help and give me any usefull info ....i dont no that much about computer but im willing to give anything a go to get rid of these trojans

First dont ever use that man again! What a waster!
They all embed themselves he was just making excuses.
The only thing that got rid of the Trojan StartPage.1 was from www.NoAdware.net it will cost you $35 but if it dosn't work then they will give you your money back. I'm sure it will work for you.
But start with downloading some free software and try that first eventually building up to some you have to pay for.
On my system I have Antivir, Spybot Search and Destroy, Diamond CS TDS3, Spyware Blaster and NoAdware.
All available through Google, most were free downloads others were ($8) and ($35). All have their own strengths and weaknesses.
All the sites I have listed are trustworthy so no worries about saying yes. Dont bother with Norton it does not work very well and says the system is free when it is still infected.
