Foot won't lift on my Toyota 2202?

Hi

I just acquired use of a Toyota 2202 sewing machine, i got it all threaded up and then realised that when i tried to lift the foot by raising the lever at the back the lever wouldn't move.

Any suggestions would be great, thank you :)

Does anyone have a manual for this sewing machine that they could scan and send by e-mail?

Thanks

I found out what it was, it had not been used for so long that the mechanism became jammed, its all fixed and working now tho.

Hi Ken
Thank you for replying, I just tried lowering the pressure but it had no effect. It's almost as if its locked or theres something physically stopping the lever from going up
Emma :)

Hello Emma,
If you can't lift up the presser foot on your machine the chances are that you have far too much pressure on the foot, if you have a dial on top of the machine turn it down to about number 3 and check, if you have the chrome thumb screw type just unscrew it until you lift the foot easily, if that does not work let me klnow or leave another question.
