try a new spark plug, your spark plug lead and plug cap could be shorting out, u can see it at night with the engine running if you look at it in the dark, little blue sparks, if so , renew, plug lead unscrews from the ignition coil under the tank, plug cap also unscrews from lead. your petrol tank filler cap could have a blocked breather hole. or dirt in your float bowl, points gap wrong, ignition retarded. dirty air filter, do the easy checks 1st then maybe get a biker mate to help u fit contact breakers and condensor and set the ignition timing "points" (contact breaker) gap. you'll need a tool to remove the magneto flywheel (puller) from ebay £9 + p&p and feeler guages (metric) and cigarette paper to put in between the contacts while turning the flywheel keep a tug on the paper, as the timing marks align contacts release the paper. buy a clymer manual as they explain in a way that your brain will enjoy. unlike my ramblings.
