I have a Ferguson freeview, the problem is that when I go to normal tv channels my ITV is all lines, all other channel are okay. it means that if I want to watch channel 3 I have to have my freeview switched on, when I feed the ariel directly into the back of my tv channel 3 is fine as with all channels.

You need to adjust (or turn it off, if you're using a scart lead anyway) the RF moduator output in the Digital Receivers set up menu. It's output is too close to the ITV channel. It's a simple customer adjustment which will be described in your instruction manual.
