when ever I play a movie on my portable it keeps on saying wrong disk and it's not the DVD it's the portable.

It probably means your trying to play a disc from the wrong Region. i.e. UK discs are Region 2 and USA discs are Region 3
look on the back of the disc packet and it will tell you which region it's for. You may be able to get your player to play multi-region ask at you store.
