washing machine does not spin?

my hotpiont aquarius 1100 wm63 washes and drains but will not spin.i have removed the lid and checked the belt,but it seems fine.

Usually carbon brushes need replacing.

REMEMBER TO UNPLUG MACHINE FROM MAINS SUPPLY BEFORE REPAIRS ARE CARRIED OUT.
