How can I fix my 'fan' on my 2002 Vetra?

My 2002 Vetra has only got boost and number 4 speed on the fan. Can any one help as I have had a quote to fix it of £170.00.

As the fan is working on higher speeds the motor is O.K the most likely cause is the resistor unit which reduces the current flow to the fan motor to give lower speeds. If you can locate this unit, usually near the fan motor, and have the resistors tested with a multimeter. You should be able to obtain a unit from a breaker via the web.
