Thermal Fuse on Hotpoint 1000 Washer Dryer. Model 9926a?
Where is the Thermal Fuse on a Hotpoint 1000 Washer Dryer. There is a component that looks like a Diode on top of the heater - is this it? The tumble dryer fan vent motor has stopped working on the machine and the heater is also not working. Many thanks if you can help with this.

Yes it sounds like the thermal fuse has gone and you will see on or near the heater the fuse with wires going to the heater itself.
