Leak in hotpoint first edition 800, WM51?

I have a leak in a Hotpoint first edition 800, WM51, which appears not to be plumbing related. Any clues where to start - is it a filter issue or worse?

Hi,

On a similar model Ultima 1200 which has been standing the joint between the input hot water pressure sensor and the nylon inlet housing was lose. A few wraps of narrow repair tape has sorted that but now asking to check output hose.

On my 800 there are two splits in the seal round the door is that a DIY job How much is a seal and how much should I pay for it to be done? Does the seal include the green steel ring which is next to the drum as that seems a bit rusty at the bottom.

Cheers. Andrew.

You may have sorted this already, but the most likely problem is the seal between the drum and the door. It peels off fairly easily once you've opened the door - there is a ring round the edge held by the little grey clip to the top left of the opening. you can normally se holes in it withouth takin it off though. just stretch it and feel around. If that doesn't sort the problem, it could be the tubing by the trap at the bottom or feeding from the drawer to the drum. Its most likely one of those.
