PRIMING DIESEL ENGINE?

I HAVE A 1994 FORD DIESEL TRANSIT VAN,IT HAS RUN OUT OF DIESEL,HOW DO I PRIME THE PUMP TO RESTART.

To prime it get someone to crank the engine while you crack open the injector pipes, if you have changed the fuel filter then you will need to fill this with diesel first.
