battery cables could be loose as i had same thing

connor gallagher, November 2009
mine was doing same thing took 3days to charge the battery my winch drains it i found out if you have a winch try puting a on off switch on the cables running to your battery trust me your yamaha battery should be great but likely a accesory drained it go to harbor freight and get a 12volt charger cost $4.00

I replaced the battery in my bruin and for some reason, the connections/placement of the battery aren't perfect. Sometimes when i go to start it, it makes that clicking noise. For me, it has been the battery connections. Try tightening them down and see if that works.

Once you've charged the battery and replaced the starter relay the next step would be looking at the starter motor.

Battery is likely dead. Either put a charger to the battery or boost it and that should solve the problem

Norm, August 2008
Likely need to charge your battery.
