How can I fix my Tedelex Tv? When I switch on the picture fades to black?

This started recently and becomes worse by the day. Nowadays the picture now mainly stays black but if I switch it on and off a few times the picture will come back and then fade to black again...?

This will be caused by dry joints in the supply to the crt heaters. Resoldering will usually cure it but I advise it is done by an engineer. It should not be very expensive.
