What's up with my fiat ducato gearbox/linkage?

I'm having difficulty engaging the gears (all of them) in my 1986, fiat ducato, 2.5l diesel campervan. The linkage broke on the end of the gear-stick, which was an easy fix but, now the gearstick is like the preverbial **** in a bucket! I've sured up the gear linkage and with the engine NOT running, the gears can easily be engaged. When the van's running however, it's extremely difficult to engage - please help!!

clutch not disengaging properly possible blead system or make ajustment also clutch slipping all faults relate to clutch making proper disengagement, try pumping clutch before making first gear change

It is a known fault with these vans take it to a good dealer to get it sorted out it is when they are converted from left to right hand drive they put an extra lincage in but dont set it quite right

It sounds like the clutch draging. bleed it and then adjust it. it is quite a common fault.
