what is wrong with my dyson?

My dyson upright purple and lime green model does not have the power it once had I have looked at the filter it seems ok. but my dyson does not pick up as it once did

Don't wash the filter under the bin!!!! Post motor filter. This should not be washed. If your machine is not picking up it will be blocked - have you still got the manual?

Make sure the hose is not clogged.

make sure u have washed all the removable filters. There is likely to be two, one before the motor and one after. if u have a brush powered by the vacuum, make sure that it is not tangled with carpet fibres. I did the above to my dc05 and it works like new again.
