My Hitachi 70" TV is getting error code YPBPR:1 during breaks in playback?

My Hitachi 70" TV is getting an error code YPBPR:1 during breaks in playback from our cable TV. Is it because of signal strength or something wrong with my TV.

I'm guessing that you are recording TV off your Cable TV box and playing it back.

The 'Y Pb Pr 1' describes the input you are using on your TV.

Y=green
Pb=blue
Pr= red

the '1' means that you have more than 1 ....most hitachi TV's have 2 YPbPr inputs .... otherwise known as 'component video' inputs.

what is happening is that when you stop sending the picture signal - the TV converts back to the black screen (because it has no picture to show) and when it does that the startup program kicks in action and tells it to show the name of the input you are currently looking at...in this case, you are using the 'component video 1' input ...or the 'YPbPr 1' input. You can verify this by looking at your cables, you'll have a cable with 3 RCA ends a red, blue and green end. If you are using a SCART connection ...your cable box is set to send YPbPr through the scart.

SO DON'T WORRY...it's not an error message, the TV is doing what it's supposed to do - which is remind you that you are using the YPbPr 1 connection. It does this for all the other connections too.
