Fix Fault Vauxhall Astra 1.6i

Can anyone tell me the recommended Spark Plug Gap. Not shown in user manual or more surprisingly not in the Haynes Manual? Have NGK fitted (very wide gap) but an replacing with Bosch.

when engine start and goes into idle battery light comes on steering becomes heavy to steer then when gas applied light stay on but steering ok
