i have just replaced the spring contacts on my henry vacuum cleaner and i cant get it to work. i have checked the contacts lots of times and they seem to be ok. have i done something wrong?

with bag removed and hand on intake of motor theirs hardley any suction,unit is approx 4 years old. model is numatic henry hvr 200
