How can I stop wiper fuse from blowing constantly?

The wipers in my 2001 Ford Falcon AU wagon stopped working. I replaced the fuse and they worked for a day before the fuse blew again. Replaced the fuse again and it blew as soon as I switched the wipers on. What could be causing this to keep happening? And what can I do?
