Are you sure you are doing it right,press number 1 button five times for code number 5,then button 2 once for code 1,button 3 once for code 1,and button 4 eight times for number 8,then press button number 5 to enter the code,the radio should come on,watch the screen and you will see the numbers come up,most radios work like this but be warned you only get so many shots at it if you enter the wrong code,then its off to the dealer for you.Good luck.
