the car goes along and when the brake is applied there is no brakes have checked the brake fluid levels and the pad and discs and there are no leaky pipes

You don't give mutch away as to what the problem is with it do you ,is it the wrong colour ,shape ,size,give a bit more detail and you may get some help.
