I have a JVC camcorder GR-D20, it keeps showing a message to remove the lens cap when I try to record even though the lens cap is off. what is causing this and how do I solve the problem

They offered free repairs but unfortunately this offer was only
until October 07.I managed to spot this web notice only when
searching for someone to repair mine and managed to arrange the free repairs.Try it now, you may be lucky.
