What does message E9 mean on Maytag LSE1000?

I have a Maytag LSW1000, Series 7 stackable washer/dryer unit. When I turned the washer on the dryer stopped and gave the message E9. I don't have a user manual to tell me what this code means. The dryer won't operate at all, and I can't turn the message off. Thanks for your help!
