My CD players keeps skipping?

I have a 5 disc Kenwood CD Player as part of my home sterio system. It keeps on skipping. I have tried cleaning with a CD disc but nothing seems to work. Is it worth fixing or should I just buy a new CD player for my system?

The unit is repairable but the part will cost anywhere between $30 and $80. When you add labor costs it might be more sensible to buy a new unit from Best Buy. Prices should be good this time of year.
