Fix Singer model 127 stitches?

Can anyone help me fix the stiches, bunching up terribly underneath the fabric. I have played with the bobbin tension - getting no luck.

Hello Debra,
Get the top tension sorted first, make sure that when you thread the machine the presser foot is up so the thread goes between the discs, top tension between 4 and 6, only use good mercerized thread, bottom tension should be enough to be able to pull the thread through with slight resistence, if it is too loose turn the screw on the bobbin case clockwise slightly to tighten, if it is too tight turn the screw anti-clockwise, I have not seen your model, the last model 127 was a Singer machine with a boat shape bobbin.
