To a certain degree, all dishwashers are self cleaning. However, you need to remove the filters at the bottom of the unit, below the spray arm, and wash any debris away. Then you should find that both of the spray arms will unclip - do so if you can and look for such things like grains of rice that can block the outlet holes. Once done, buy a proper dishwasher cleaner such as Finish, (in the UK) and run this through with the machine empty.
