How can I fix my Beko D2731fw dishwasher?

Hello,

I have a problem with my Beko dishwasher. I set it to wash and put the tablet in, switch it on and it makes sounds (like if water was filling up) but it doesnt go through the cycle. I open it up and nothing has happened after a considerable amount of time (and the dial hasn't moved) and nothing has happened. The jets are even in the same position! Power and water is there, but I don't think it is even filling up. I read on another post that Natasha had the same problem, maybe it's a common problem with this dishwasher.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks.

Hi everybody,
Iv had the same problem with my dishwasher but i tried the tilting forward trick and to my amazement it worked! Thanks to everyone for the advice. I was just about to go out and buy a new one!

I've had the same problem. Its something to do with the anti flood device. if you tip the machine backwards at about 45 degrees water will come out the bottom. Be warned it may go everywhere when no more comes out the machine should work OK

my beko dishwasher is going through the cycle but the water is not running into it i have check both pipes and none of them are blocked

Hello! Thanks for your reply. I tried putting it backwards and no water came out. So I shook it and still no water. I tried switching it on and it started to work! Bizarre. So I switched it off during mid-cycle and tried to start it again. But it was just the drain pump making a noise and it never started up.
I shook the drain pipe to see if it was clogged or something. and switched it on while the door was open to see if anything would happend and I saw water drain way... When I shut the door again it started to work... So I think maybe its something to do with the drainage. It seem intermittent. I've given up on it for this evening but I wonder if this has solved the problem. Do I have to have the door open when it drains???!!!

P.s. this is the first dishwasher I've owned, it came with the house I've just moved into...

tip the dishwasher backwards about 80 degrees.does water come out.if so you have a leak and its the drain pump you can hear running because of the water in base.sorting leak will sort problem.
