I had the same problem with my Mondeo 2007 diesel; however, i tried to remove them myself and snapped the glow plugs! After research into how to remove them i was recomended to go to Sharnford Garage in Leicestershire (01455 272336). They were able to drill and remove the broken glow plugs and re-tap them without any damage or removal of the clyinder head. It cost me around £200 and saved alot of time and hastle.

Use the correct size socket - don't force anything - gently try to unscrew them. If they don't want to come out, try tightening them a fraction first before trying again. Use WD40 which may help. Be very patient - if they snap off the cylinder head has to come off - a major operation.
