I've been trying to find the answer to this for a while and stumbled across it by accident - hope it helps

FIrst, make sure you the turn the VCR off. Hold down the TV/VCR button while looking at the front of the VCR. You'll see either 3 or 4 flashing lights. [The number of lights corresponds to the channel to which the VCR is set.] Hold the button down for a couple of seconds - the number of lights will change to reflect the new channel. That's all..happy viewing!

I have the same machine. I can do anything with it except for one thing. Where is the switch to change the default output from channel 3 to channel 4 ? Cannot find it anywhere. As for your problem, you did not specify what it is that you need correcting.
