How to fix sound on Nintendo 64 cartridge?

I have two n64 games that still play, but the sound does not work. I know my system is working because other games have sound. Is this fixable? Also both games are starwars games( Ep 1 Racer, Battle for Naboo ) incase that is significant.

Im only joking mate! the problem Ive got with my n64 games is sometimes when I stick the cartridge in it feels sort of stiff when I push them in,and sometimes when they feel stiff they dont work straight away, but the ones that loosely slip in sort of play straight away...dunno wots up with that? unless the games got cakes of dust on it aint got a bubble mate? ne1 got ne ideas???

I have had this problem with my SNES, and as I own an N64, it could be - the wire between the console to the TV. Nintendo were cheap sods when it came to this wire - their pins are a hell of a lot weaker than in, say Segas or Sonys. If your wire shows any damage or wear - Get a new wire - only around £2.
