I have a ravenheat rsf820/20 boiler.Could anyone tell me how old boiler is?

Had boiler fitted approx 10 years ago.
Been having a few minor problems with it lately.
Had service engineer round to repair it.
He said boiler is about 18 years old and I could do with an updated version.

I have the same model and my plumber contact reckons its about 17 years old so i guess with your 18yrd old guess it must be somewhere in that region. I also have been advised to update it which I am currently looking in to. What a minefield boilers are?!
