How do I make my Philips DVDR3380 region free so as it plays DVDs from home (Australia) and other regions such as Region 1?

1) Make sure no disc is in machine switch on and wait until display shows no disc 2. Enter 0009 and press ok this will display the region code the machine is set to.

2) Open /close tray.

3) Display shows no disc; enter 0086000 and press ok.

4) Open the tray.

5) Now region free ...to verify region . use step 1 again
