in my lamp it states 10w i have just stuck a 20w does it matter?

i have a lamp which uses halogen 10w small thing have just stuck a 20w bulb does it matter

Please take it out and replace it with a 10 Watt as it will overload the lamp and turn into a fire Hazard PS make shure the lamp is turned off when replacing bulbs
