My sportcraft tx4.9 runs fine then suddenly slows down, help?

Hi, I've been trying to find answers online and haven't had any luck yet. I have a sportcraft tx 4.9. I will walk slow for about 5 min. and ease my way up to 4 mph. Sometimes it takes 10 minutes, sometimes it takes 20 min. then it starts to slow way down, if I speed it up, sometimes it will kick in (too fast for me) then other times I'm frustrated and I'm done. Any suggestions?

You need to lubricate the walking platform between it and the walking belt. The heat from the moving belt is causing to much friction. I had the same problem and called Spotrcraft. Use 100% silicone oil and use a couple of ounces to make sure it is well lubricated. Put the oil across the top under the belt so it will spread across the platform. Fixed mine right away. Good luck

If your belt and deck are worn or need lubricant, it can slow down and also cause motor damage. Run the treadmill longer than you walk without walking on it. If the speed stays constant with no one on it your belt and deck are worn or need lube.
