Hi try standing the box on its side with the power supply uppermost. We have many clients and have found frequently in all boxes this helps. The sony boxes for example were a real pain in overheating a glass balanced on the main chip after taking the lid off allowed the box to work for years without it it lasted a couple of hours. The grundig boxes also had an overheat problem, standing on its side stopped it.
Also run the box thru a UPS, this stops fluctuations and brown outs which all sat boxes hate.
