problem with older white sewing machine?

i recently bought a white triple-matic zz sewing machine from a good friend. it worked fine for 3 weeks, now i am having problems with it. i have it threaded correctly, the bobbin is in correctly, i have adjusted and readjusted the tension in the bobbin and the needle. it will not put in stitches at all. the thread goes in and out of the fabric without catching the bobbin thread and then it breaks. i have no clue what is wrong with it. can anyone help me?

Hello Sarah,
First of all put a new needle in and make sure it is the correct way round, if it still misses stitches and you are not sewing on a static producing fabric then the machine may need retiming.drivewithken@blueyonder.co.uk
