Water not draining from Hoover Nextra HNF 2127 washingmachine?

Our two year old washer has decided to not drain properly. I have cleared the filter and the outlet hose is clear. With the machine running some water is being pumped from the pipe but not enough to empty the machine. With the machine not running water will drain from the outlet pipe , held below the machine but it doesn't drain fast ( would you expect it to gush out ? ). So my guess is that there is a partial block between the drum and the pump. Is this logical ? How do you check ?

Cleaning the dirt reservoir worked for me. Thanks for the tips.

I hope U've sorted out Ur problem but here's the remedy in case U haven't. I had the same machine & was on the brink of giving it up until I checked the pump's dirt reservoir situated the front of the machine. It initially involves removing a plastic covering @ the bottom front end. There's a little screw which needs to be unscrewed then twist open the lever to hopefully expose Ur problem. Just clean & rinse out the machine several times & it should be good as new.

Yep Nigel ..... what you need to do is to put the machine on its back and locate the drum outlet pipe underneath. You'll find a spring clip that connects the pipe to the pump. Bet you any money there's something in the outlet drain trap that shouldn't be there so you'll need to remove it.
