nokia 6300 - wont turn off!?

My Nokia 6300 wont switch off! I'm pressing the button on the top of the phone, it vibrates and then nothing happens - any ideas??

Yep, I followed advice taking out and re-installing battery and SIM card and it worked!

TRY REMOVING THE BATTERY AND THE SIM CARD AND THEN RE-INSTALLING THEM - YOU WILL PROBABLY FIND THAT THAT WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM
