My Citoren Saxo 1.1 is making a knocking/squeaking noise when I put my foot on the accelerator, can anyone help?

All depends where the noise is coming from. Could be the signs of terminal wear to the engine. Have you been checking the oil? Can you locate the sound under the bonnet with it ticking over? Does it only do it under load?

Generally knocking is usually a very bad sign!
