my dell d600 laptop has a faulty motherboard and i'm asking if anyone has had any experience of dealing with a repairer or can offer any other advice on repairing it.

Joe,
Tracking down to component level on a motherboard is time consuming & a nightmare because no circuit are available! Hence the manufacturers change the boards out.
I ahave D600 battery light flash's and cuts out after 10seconds. Tracked to blown chip but no ID on the chip.
Best to google the syptoms and view other peoples experience, may find a fix.
