after starting my outboard engine, water was at first coming out the tell tell port (think its called that?) then i put it into gear and then it stopped. it is a mercury 80hp. what do u think is wrong? and does it sound expensive to fix, roughly how much?

If the prop moves when the motor is in gear it is most likely that the water impeller is bad... impeller is not expensive....labor????
If your handy it's not hard to do yourself.
