what does EO on my copier mean??

when I turn on my photo copier (NP 1020 canon) the display says EO and it won't photo copy, what does EO mean??

E0 is part of a code. it should flash E0 and then more didgits. Anything from E000 t0 E004 means you have a faulty fuser unit and it will require a service and more than likely some parts.
